“That’s So Gay”
When you say “that’s so gay”, do you realize what you’re saying?
The other day I over heard a little boy, that appeared to be about 4 or 5 years old, begging his mom for some video game he wanted. Right after she said no he turned to her and said ‘Thats gay mom!’ After hearing that it got me thinking…in our society its become acceptable to refer to things as words such as Gay, Retarded, Stupid, etc.
Do people understand when they refer to something they don’t like as Gay, they’re offending someone? What if you heard someone say something that insulted you? And they didn’t even think twice about it?
Just because you don’t agree with someones life decisions, Does not give you the right to ridicule them.
